What You Should Know

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States — and in Florida, the risk is even higher due to year-round sun exposure. The good news: when caught early, most skin cancers are highly treatable.

At TKMD Dermatology, Dr. Khanna offers comprehensive skin cancer care from detection through treatment. From full-body skin exams and Nevisense AI mole analysis to Mohs micrographic surgery and superficial radiation therapy, everything is done in-office.

Types of Skin Cancer We Treat

Melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer. Basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma are the most common. All require prompt diagnosis and treatment by a specialist.

Dr. Khanna is trained in dermatopathology — she reads her own biopsies in-house for faster results and greater accuracy.

How It Works

Full Body Skin Exam

A thorough head-to-toe examination using dermoscopy to evaluate moles, spots, and lesions for concerning features.

Biopsy (if needed)

If a suspicious lesion is found, a biopsy is performed in-office. Results are processed in our on-site dermatopathology lab.

Treatment Plan

Based on the diagnosis, Dr. Khanna recommends the most appropriate treatment — Mohs surgery, excision, SRT, or topical therapy.

Follow-Up Care

Regular monitoring visits are scheduled based on your individual risk profile and treatment history.

Who Is This Right For?

Annual skin cancer screenings are recommended for everyone — especially if you live in Florida, have fair skin, a history of sunburns, a family history of skin cancer, or have had skin cancer before. Do not wait for a suspicious spot to grow before getting checked.

About Skin Cancer Detection & Treatment

"I grew up in Central Florida. I know what 365 days of UV exposure does to skin. An annual skin exam takes 15 minutes and can genuinely save your life. That is not an exaggeration."
