What You Should Know

Hair loss has many causes — some hormonal, some genetic, some inflammatory, some related to nutrition or medications. Accurate diagnosis is essential before treatment. Dr. Khanna evaluates hair loss with a clinical examination and, when needed, scalp biopsy to determine the underlying cause.

Types of Hair Loss We Treat

  • Androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern hair loss)
  • Alopecia areata (patchy autoimmune hair loss)
  • Telogen effluvium (stress-related hair shedding)
  • Traction alopecia (from hairstyles)
  • Central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia (CCCA)
  • Frontal fibrosing alopecia

Treatment Options

Medical treatments include topical minoxidil, oral finasteride (men), spironolactone (women), platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, and immunotherapy for alopecia areata. Cosmetic treatments include scalp micropigmentation and hair transplant consultation referrals.

Good Candidate?

Who Is This Right For?

Anyone experiencing hair thinning or loss that is progressively worsening, sudden hair loss, patchy hair loss, or scalp symptoms (itching, burning, scaling) alongside hair loss should be evaluated. Early intervention typically produces better outcomes.

About Hair Restoration

"Hair loss is emotionally significant and medically complex. The cause determines the treatment. I do not start treatment before I understand why the hair is falling out."
